Rachel Ricafort-Alvarez, MD

Dr. Rachel Ricafort-Alvarez is a board-certified pediatrician with 26 years of experience caring for children and families. She earned her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and completed her pediatric residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey.

Dr. Ricafort-Alvarez focuses on building trust with children and their families. Through open communication and evidence-based guidance, she partners with parents to help children grow, thrive, and stay healthy. She especially enjoys helping families navigate the everyday challenges of parenting, from newborn care and child development to common childhood illnesses.

Coming from a family of healthcare providers, Dr. Ricafort-Alvarez was drawn to medicine early in life. She worked as a pediatric nurse before becoming a pediatrician and has always loved caring for children. One of the most rewarding parts of her career is watching patients grow into young adults and later return as parents. She is honored to care for a second generation of families and deeply appreciates the trust they place in her.

Dr. Ricafort-Alvarez is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Tennessee Medical Association. She has been recognized as a Ruthies Award winner for Favorite Pediatrician in Rutherford County and as a Music City Award winner for Favorite Pediatrician.
