Kids Kare Pediatrics sets aside morning and afternoon same-day appointments so families can be seen quickly when a child gets sick overnight or during the school day. Because these visits are focused on immediate concerns, they’re best suited for short-term illnesses. If your child needs care for a chronic or ongoing condition, our team will help schedule a longer visit to ensure enough time for thorough care.

What Happens During a Same-Day Sick Visit?

A typical same-day sick visit at Kids Kare Pediatrics follows a clear, efficient flow to keep your child comfortable and get answers quickly:

Our practice management system includes an electronic prescription service that allows us, in most cases, to submit your child’s prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of your choice, saving you time and effort.

When Should My Child Have a Same-Day Sick Visit?

Parents should schedule a same-day sick visit when their child has new or worsening symptoms, including:

  • Fever
  • Cough or congestion
  • Ear pain
  • Sore throat
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Other sudden illnesses that need prompt evaluation

Same-day sick visits are available as needed, not on a set schedule. Established patients can call their preferred Kids Kare Pediatrics clinic to schedule an appointment and receive care as soon as possible when symptoms appear.

Vaccines & Preventive Care

Vaccines are an important part of protecting your child’s health and helping keep our community safe. At Kids Kare Pediatrics, we provide recommended childhood immunizations and work with families to support informed decisions about their child’s preventive care.

To help protect infants and children with weakened immune systems, Kids Kare Pediatrics requires patients age 12 months and older to remain up to date on the recommended MMR vaccine series. Our care team is available to answer questions and discuss your child’s vaccination needs.
